I had driven all day from Seattle, and just reached the shores of Lake McDonald in the early evening. It was in late in May, so I enjoyed the benefit of extra long day at the 48th parallel. I took this shot around 9pm. On the overcast evening, the hue turned blueish over a very peaceful lake. The long exposure emphasizes the stillness of the moment. Waterfalls are barely visible in the background. Glacier National Park, Montana Canon EOS-1DS 70.0-200.0 mm at 30.0 sec at ƒ / 16 @ 200 ISO 5/29/04 8:51:36 PM ©savoyeimages.com
